Serving Somerset County IDRC & Hunterdon County IDRC Clients

During the IDRC class, every client will be screened by a counselor to determine if a referral for further assessment is needed. If referred for an assessment, the client must complete the assessment and any/all treatment that is recommended by the chosen treatment agency until a successful discharge report is received.

**All treatment agency choices must be approved by IDRC before the client attends the assessment. Assessment Forms/Release Forms must be completed by the client for their chosen treatment agency before attending the assessment. If a client decides to switch treatment agencies, the client must get their new treatment agency approved by IDRC and sign new Assessment Forms/Release Forms before scheduling their new assessment.**

Assessment Timeline:

If a client is referred for an assessment during their screening, they must complete the required Assessment Forms/Release Forms and inform the IDRC of their chosen treatment agency within 7 calendar days of their screening.

The client has 10 business days from the date they were screened to contact their chosen treatment agency to schedule their assessment. The client should inform the agency that they are an IDRC Referral.

The client has 30 calendar days from the date of their screening to attend/complete their assessment with their chosen treatment agency.

Treatment Program Compliance:

If a client is recommended to participate in a treatment program after being assessed by an agency, the client must comply with any/all treatment recommendations given. The client’s IDRC requirements are not completed until a successful discharge report is received from the treatment agency that states no further treatment is being recommended.

If at any point the client does not comply with any part of the IDRC treatment requirements (timeline, assessment, treatment program, etc.), the non-compliance process will begin, which can result in additional license forfeiture until all IDRC requirements are completed.

Multiple Offenders:

If you are a multiple offender you must contact the IDRC within 6 months of your license restoration date to make arrangements to complete a Multiple Offender Evaluation. A Multiple Offender Recommendation Letter will not be sent to MVC until you complete all multiple offender follow-up requirements (updated assessment, treatment if recommended, etc.).
