Navigating through life has enough challenges. It can be even more challenging when you are faced with a mental health disorder and/or substance use disorder; have a physical and/or intellectual disability; judged because of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, and/or sexual orientation or need assistance because of current circumstances. The most unfortunate of these challenges is experiencing discrimination (negative assumptions, perceptions, or judgments), as individuals are treated and looked at differently.
